Accuracy

1. 4. Every walk describes one day's ground. Paths flood, gates lock, blocks change and bridges close. A piece states the date it was walked because that is the honest scope of what it can claim.
2. 5. Nothing here is a safety assessment or a substitute for judging the weather, the light and your own footing on the day. Following a route described here is your own decision and your own risk, and the sensible move is always to turn back.

Nothing is sold

1. 6. No goods or services are sold on this site. There is no shop, no booking, no ticket, no membership, no subscription and no price on any page. It follows that there is no payment to take, no refund to give, no cancellation to process, no warranty on goods, no delivery and no shipping, and none of those pages exists because none of those things happen here. This clause is the answer to all of them.
2. 7. The one commercial arrangement is the desk on the front page, which passes a route to a separate travel search company and stops there. Any contract that follows a search is between you and whoever sells you the ticket. This journal is not a party to it, cannot change it, cannot cancel it and cannot refund it.
3. 8. Where that arrangement pays this journal a commission, it is disclosed beside the desk, on the flight search page and on the independence page.

Independence

1. 9. This journal holds no affiliation with any public body, transport operator, airline, hotel, tourism office or other publication, and none should be inferred from any page.
2. 10. It is not connected to any other publication whose name resembles this web address.
3. 11. No walk is sponsored. No mention, link or photograph has ever been paid for. If that ever changes, the method page will say so before the change is made rather than after.

Limits

1. 12. The journal is provided as it is. No promise is made that a route is passable, that a path is open or that a description remains true after the date printed on it.
2. 13. Where the publisher is at fault, responsibility is limited to what is lawful to limit, and nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
3. 14. Should any single clause here prove unenforceable, treat it as struck and read the remainder as written.

Law and reaching us

1. 15. These terms are governed by the law of the District of Columbia, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
